Get to know more about Shiyu,

I’m a UX designer in Boston.

My design journey began with Landscape Design. Growing up with parents in the design industry, I was encouraged to be creative and to explore hands-on skills like sketching and painting from an early age. Their influence and opportunities to travel and experience landscapes worldwide naturally led me to pursue a formal education in landscape design.

However, as I started my professional career, I discovered my passion for UX Design while completing the Google UX Design Certificate. I gained a deeper understanding of user-centered design, problem-solving approach, and design with empathy.

Because of my background in landscape design, I bring a unique perspective - a blend of creativity, design principles, and the ability to craft aesthetic and functional experiences.

Today, I leverage my multidisciplinary expertise to craft intuitive, user-centered digital products that meet users' needs and inspire joy and engagement. My goal is to design with empathy, consistently striving to balance user satisfaction, business objectives, and technical feasibility.

When I’m not designing, I enjoy hiking, skiing, visiting museums, and exploring different cultures. At home, I love spending time with my cat, JoJo.
